Can't handle these lows...
So, I'm at a loss for what to do. I stopped taking antidepressants about a month or two ago after being on them for a little over a year. I'm not sure if my depression is returning but I definitely started having these feelings of complete emptiness that I don't know what to do with...it's not constant its more intermittent but the end result is I get it to a low mood and I feel the need to do something about it and then I get really anxious and I end up feeling the need to self harm...I talked to my school psychologist about these feelings (minus the self harm part...I don't talk about that) but she just keeps saying I have to apply my CBT techniques but I don't feel like that's at all helpful...

Have you thought about trying them again? Rebound depression can happen after medication is ended.
Do you not find CBT helpful at all? A lot of people can find it takes time to work, but that it works if you keep at it.

It doesn't matter where you come from; it matters where you go.
No-one gets remembered for the things they didn't do. We won't all be here this time next year,
so while you can take a picture of us. We're definitely going to hell,
but we'll have all the best stories to tell.

I feel stupid to go back to my doctor and ask her to restart them again...I don't even know if it's really depression...My doctor usually identifies it as two weeks constant, right? As for the CBT I have no idea if its working or not....it's ssooo much work to do though and can feel so exhausting to remember all of what she's taught me...personally I can't say there is a difference...but she says she sees a difference in me :/

I don't think it would be stupid to go back to your doctor. Even if it is just to let her know how you're feeling so you can both keep an eye on it. It is best to catch things early.
CBT can be challenging but it can be helpful. Have you asked the psychologist what difference she sees? How long have you been doing it for? It can take a while to make a big difference, but if you keep going and keep practising with it, it does get easier.

"I know you're sad, so I won't tell you to have a good day. Instead, I advise you to simply have a day.
Stay alive, feed yourself well, wear comfortable clothes, and don't give up on yourself just yet.
It'll get better. Until then, have a day."

It is awkward, but they can help. Rebound depression is common. It might be good to just try it for a little while and see if it helps smooth things over.
