Freedom Pass eligibility.

I have a valid Freedom Pass which I got on the basis that my migraines would stop me from driving.

My migraines are a lot better now after the greater occipital nerve block and a new medication.

Would I still be eligible for a Freedom Pass when I have to renew it next year, on the basis of autism? My friend said no way would the DVLA let me drive as I can barely cross a road safely, I have vision problems (processing and frequent convergent squint), and I also have coordination problems.

My neurologist is crap and never addresses the vision / coordination issues so I'm not sure how I'd get a letter from him.

I can't even ride a bike, how the hell can I drive?

I know it's a bit premature to worry about it now but I just need assurance of what I'd need to do.

PM me if you want a PDF copy of the ICD-10 or the Mental Health Act 1983/2007. I ALSO HAVE THE DSM-V BOOK and am a pharmacology student.

I have a visual impairment / neurological problems so I need people to type in clear text and no funny fonts. Also excuse any typos, my vision blocks things out.
I have autism and have problems communicating, PMs included.
Just becasue I type well doesn't mean I speak well. I am only part time verbal.

It will depend on your borough eg where I live they have a mental health specific pass but in other areas they don't.

If you aren't able to drive some boroughs will require a letter from a professional while others will require you to apply and get turned down by the dvla. It's not straight forward and will all depend on what your borough/council says.

Can you also get a freedom pass based on the rate of DLA/PIP awarded? Might be worth looking into that.

Sorry I don't really know as I don't live in London.

Only high mobility I think as I get high care and that wouldn't be allowed!
