I am currently:
Thread ender

I look back at my posts and often feel like if I post something the thread ends. I don't know it that is because I say too much, or I am too old and kind of cut the communication fluidity. For me it is more disheartening than encouraging because I feel something is wrong with me.

Just not using the word I think- but feel like a serial thread "ender".
In general I am not a concise writer. Should I not write? Should I limit my self to single sentences? Does anyone else have this experience?

it’s not working for polar bears

I have often wondered this about myself, but at the end of the day threads do end (and sometimes abruptly without reason) so I don't think it should be taken to heart. RYL is quieter than it used to be so more threads are fizzling out. I think you give wonderful advice and you certainly shouldn't stop posting.

Could you look at it that perhaps your replies are so comprehensive that nobody knows what else to add? This is not a bad thing, threads do have to end, so there is a place for others to begin.

Your replies seem just fine to me, I know that probably doesn't help much x

I think that's just how things have become. People often do not post anything specific as a problem. They don't often ask for insights , onions etc. Many just sort of vent and move on. People can even like their problems for a number of reasons, and they often want commiseration more than any resolution. In any case, very few threads have legs these days.

I don't think you're doing anything to make the thread end. I'm sure many of us also think we might be 'thread enders' when the reality is threads do just fizzle out! Some after only a few replies and some after a lot of replies. I've not really found a pattern. But I don't think it's a problem with you!

Isn’t it funny how day by day nothing changes but when you look back, everything is different…
