Hi,

I have done a few dbt skills groups as ip. They were kinda difficult but groups aren't for me! My care co-ordinator is a dbt therapist as has taught me a few skills, for trying to stay in the moment.
In general the treatment is quite skills based, and you have to be ready and willing to make change.
I'm afraid I can't offer much more advice as a treatment for me it hasn't been thought suitable!

I've done DBT and it has been very helpful. I do struggle with using the skills at times but it does get easier. It is not a quick fix though, it takes lots of practice and a willingness to want to change.

I have found it quite helpful but as mentioned above I too sometimes struggle to use my skills however with time it has got a bit easier. I agree with the above it takes alot of commitment and willingness to stick at it but it does get easier with practice.

Yes I've done a full course. It's very effective if you are willing to put the time and effort in. It does require a lot of hard work, you need to constantly practice your skills and fill out diary sheets.

Isn’t it funny how day by day nothing changes but when you look back, everything is different…
