where is this forum based?
From the locations of the people who have listed them I'd guess this is a UK forum. I'm from the US. I don't have a problem with this being from the UK - just makes stuff like getting a recovery bracelet impossible.
But it's okay for me to be here...right?

Of course it's okay. There are plenty of people from the US and other countries here. Welcome to RYL.

Hi, bracelets can be shipped internationally. And whilst this person was set up in the UK and whilst a lot of members are UK based there are many others who aren't. And everyone is welcome :)

Thanks Sketchy, chinahorse, and random.swirls. Glad to know I'm welcome here.
How does the international shipping work? The price is in pounds - I only have dollars. Is there a way to convert that somehow and get a bracelet?

No problem. You can call me Lorraine.
I have no idea how the shipping works, hopefully someone will be able to let you know.

RYL is a UK forum but most of its visitors are from US according to Alexa site (41.2% - 33.9%). Of course RYL meets are 99.9 UK. If US ever has a meet it will have to be cyber lol

In the shop, upper right hand corner. Click the currency and change it to dollars if you like.
They do ship international.

I never knew I was a 'UKian', that's a new one to put on forms! What's so special about our stamps unless they're special edition ones. They're only different colours and with a silhouette of the queens head on them though I guess that's all that I've grown up with.
Big Ben is annoying when you're only about 150m from it and trying to sleep in the middle of the night but are constantly woken up by it's chiming! Glad that was only for a few weeks.

I'm now considering ordering something from ryl just for these apparently cool stamps and post marks lol. I'm assuming shipping would be super expensive though. The uk only has one kind of stamp? You can get stamps with practically any picture printed on them here.

My "husband" is German! Um yeah, so that adds literally nothing to the thread, I just like to mention it whenever possible. But welcome to the site, I'm Irish btw.

Are you in the US? I don't know about from the shop, but postage for just a letter from the UK to the US isn't too expensive. And our stamps are normally just the queen's head and different colour backgrounds depending on the value of the stamp. We sometimes have seasonal stamps, especially at Christmas. I got nemo stamps on mail from an American on this site once, it was super-exciting!

^^ Yea, I'm from the US.
It would be cool if RYL had a thing where like...you could send things to other members. Kind of like secret Santa, only year-round with "just because" cards and little trinkets and things. I'm in a card-sending mood now. :P It would be so cool to receive something from someone in another country. I don't travel much...
