Mirtazapine Withdrawal?

Heyloo,

A few days ago I started to get weaned off my 45mg Mirtazapine to 30mg & then eventually I'm going to start Paroxetine.

Since I changed to 30mg I've been feeling flu-like, headaches, had a lot of diarrhea (today - 8 times in total) & my limbs, & neck are aching all over.

I was wondering if it could be down to the Mirtazapine dose-change?

I'm anorexic too, so I would imagine even a small change in dose would effect me quite profoundly.

How is it going now?

How long were you on each stepping down dose?

When I stopped my Mirtazapine I went from 30mg to 15mg and stayed at 15mg for at least 7 days, possibly 2 weeks and then halved the 15mg tablet and took that for another week or so.

It's always best to reduce meds VERY slowly.

Excellent advice from Sherlock. I'm currently tapering off mirtazapine, pregabalin and quietapine. So far so good.
