Singulair side effects.

So I am on 10 mg singulair. It helps, and is needed. I just get the rare side effects that the 1 in 100 people get. Ever since starting it I hallucinate, and been told I seem ADD/ADHD. I also flip out over "nothing". Like sometimes I will see a smoke filled room, and wave my arm around trying to clear the air, or the sun has flickered before, and I almost cry over that cause it scared me. It can be amusing sitting here watching the stupidist things. I also have heard voices. It can be bothersome at night when I try to sleep. So sometimes I just skip doses so I have peace. Which I probly shouldn`t do. Does anyone else have these kinds of problems? Is this normal? Can schizophrenia/ADD/ADHD/etc. be caused by medications, or is this something that has been there before, but just hasn`t become noticible till now? I also have a hard time concentrating sometimes if that info is helpful in any way. Ty.

I've taken 10mg of singulair before and didn't have any problems but as far as I know, it can cause strange psychiatric side effects. I think you should talk to your doctor about it as a change in dose or dosing schedule might help :) Are you on it for asthma?

Hallucinations can be a side effect of many different kinds of medication. If it bothers you and you are worried, you need to see a doctor.

Yes I am on it for asthma, and I did try to talk to my doc. Maybe next time I will yell at him so he will hear mme before just leaving to hear if I am alright or not.
