Id go back to the doctor. There really is no shame in asking for help or admitting that at this moment in your life, things are just too much. Discuss what might help, if you need to get signed of work for a while or maybe just work less hours if possible. Try to do things that relaxes you. I would recommend taking small walks when the weather is good. It sounds simple but for me, even if its the last thing i want to do, it really helps on my mood. Just getting fresh air, getting sun, seeing other people without having to interact with them, use some energy. Not anything stressful though. Is there things you find relaxing, enjoy doing? Like getting lost in a book maybe or listening to music?
Id say, take care of yourself, be gentle to yourself. Dont pressure yourself too hard but still set goals for the day, even if you are signed of work. Its easy to just end up lying in bed all day, especially if you have physical issues as well, but try not to do so. Maybe spend time with people you love who wont really except a lot from you but just let you be who you are. Meet up over a cup of tea. Nothing big but just so you dont end up isolating yourself.
And do mention the physical symptoms to your doctor. It is likely that itis caused by your mental state. Thats not unusual but that doesnt mean there might not be something to easen your symptoms as long as they last. I have problems with my stomach and bowels as well that are also similar to IBS and i understand how difficult going out and just coping with it can be. There are some natural products that might help as well. I dont know if you have it where you live but i tried something called HUSK. It is awful really, you mix it with water or yoghurt or something like that and it helps settle your stomach a bit. I know several people who really has been helped by it. i however could not get it down without puking :p i think you can get it in pills also though but not sure if you can get it in your country. iwas recommended it by my doctor who initially thought i had IBS. I am sure your doctor knows more about these things than i do though so definitely go to him.
I hope you feel better soon but remember to take care and be gentle to yourself. It is not your fault this is happening and there is no shame in it.
