What do you mean?

I keep seeing people say troll and I'm confused as to what it means like what makes a troll are they different to a creep or stalker ??

'An Internet troll, or simply troll in Internet slang, is someone who posts controversial, inflammatory, irrelevant or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum or chat room, with the primary intent of provoking other users into an emotional response or to generally disrupt normal on-topic discussion.'

^But then many people on here (myself included) use 'troll' to mean joking between friends as well, so it's not always with the intent of provoking or being disruptive.

e.g. when friends call me 'hun' on purpose because they know it annoys me, just to be silly as opposed to unpleasant, I would say they were trolling me. That's not a particularly accurate use of the word, but that's what it means to me, if that makes sense?

Tbh, I forgot about that meaning, but I think both still apply to RYL.
