No but they can ask to have you assessed for a section,they cant themselves section you.

Yeah, what's already been said. They can apply to have you sectioned but you'd still need to be assessed by 2 doctors and a social worker who'd have to agree to it.
|

As has already been said - you would have to be assessed by two independent mental health workers and a social worker in order to be sectioned, although I guess there's nothing to stop parents requesting this.
The only other way you can be sectioned is that the police can put you on a section 136, however this is only a temporary section until you are assessed as mentioned above and they will decide whether to put you on a section 2 (short term) or section 3 (long term which will stay on your record for life), or to let you go.
