A Saturday Night Story - Now we are Six.

A small girl went into the sitting room at home where her father was reading the paper.
"Daddy, where does poo come from?" she asked.
Father, feeling a bit perturbed that his five-year-old daughter was already asking difficult questions, thought for a moment and said:
"Well, you know when we just ate breakfast?"
"Yes," replied the girl.
"Well, the food goes into our tummies and our bodies take all the good stuff out, and then whatever's left over comes out of our bottoms when we go to the loo. That's poo."
The small girl looked perplexed and sat in stunned silence for a while. Then she asked "And Tigger?"

Tony (with apologies to A A Milne.)

Still waiting for the gorilla story!

Isn’t it funny how day by day nothing changes but when you look back, everything is different…

you once called your brain a hard drive, well say hello to the virus.

Mandi, the gorilla remains strictly in reserve. But for the moment:

The gorilla is a giant ape
Whose chest and things will make you gape ...
Some bits require a two foot tape -
Or p'raps this thread is just a jape?

Tony (not a serious contender for Poet Laureate)

What would you do with 1,000 plastic spoons?

Put them in a nice neat line, stack them up, knock them down, turn them round and round and round, glue them, tape them, use them, throw them, bury one, toss two, make antennae, put three in dad's computer bag, knit a scarf with two as needles, make a sculpture, put seven in the drawer for safe-keeping, put one in my box, put some in a box, leave it on the sidewalk, see who takes some, tape some to my fingers and play aliens... and so much more...

Dare I ask what Things and Bits you are referring to or should i skip the explanation and go straight to the shuddering?

The male gorilla's "bits" are disproportionately small for the gorilla's size. Humans are bigger.

Well it breaks my heart to see you this way,
The beauty in life, where's it gone?
And somebody told me you were doing okay,
Somehow I guess they were wrong.

Challenge, Aidey - how do you know (I'm sure you don't spend hours studying the subject)? Wait till we get onto elephants!

And, Salanna, that wasn't intended as poetry - it was cheapo doggerel, just intended to amuse ...

Tony (in anthropoid mode).
