Getting admitted to hospital UK
I am desperate. I have been pushed from pillar to post for the last 10 years trying to get help and as of yet nothing has transpired. I am now at my worst. I don't cook or clean, I completely neglect myself, I have thoughts of suicide and self harm. I am begninng to become seriously paranoid (if I am on my own at night I am completely convinced someone is going to come and they will kill me). I started a task list today for a daily routine and that alone made me feel suicidal because it feels impossible to fulfil and they really are simple tasks. I am now to the point that something desperately has to change. I want to get myself admitted to hospital as I honestly believe this is the only way now I will get help. My question is, has anyone had experience getting themselves admitted and if so, how?

To be honest you don't really 'get yourself admitted'. You will normally only be offered a hospital admission as a very last solution. In my experience, especially for adults, hospital is there to keep you or others safe on the immediate short term. Or if you are acutely psychotic to keep you or others safe whilst you stabilise on medication. It sounds like things are pretty crappy at the moment. Do you have any other forms of support, social or professional? It sounds like maybe some more intensive outpatient support might be helpful?

I've tried all outpatient but I can't get anything intensive. They continually offer me CBT which I have tried so many times I am now done with it. I need a diagnosis and strongly believe if I don't get admitted I will end up doing something stupid because I just cannot cope any more. My parents are going on holiday in three weeks and I am litrually petrified because they won't be in the area and I cannot cope alone. This isn't right I am 27 years old. I want my life back and don't seem to be getting anywhere :(

What outpatient have you tried? Could you get your parents/friends/partner to support you in an appointment? Have you seen a psychiatrist before? You said something about diagnosis which is why I ask. It's clear you feel you need more support but I don't really understand why you'd want to be inpatient for that or how you feel it may help.

I think in some ways the fact you are petrified about your parent going away is good because it means part of you wants to be safe and try and recover.
Could you come up with a safety plan for whilst they are away?

Also, you don't really get 'psychological/psychotherapy treatment in hospital. In the UK at least it is literally a holding cell whilst you are an immediate danger to yourself or others. Suicidal thoughts, self harm etc isn't relly what they mean by that either. Unless your condition is treated mainly by medication then you will receive better treaent by seeking help as an outpatient.

I've seen a psychiatrist but because my doctor told them I demanded to, they didn't take me seriously from the get go. They decided what I had before I walked in there and now I am just stuck because they keep just throwing me back to CBT even though it doesn't work for me. The psychiatrist seemed to want to discgarge me as soon as possible which was made evident from the lies in the letter that was sent to my doctor. I just feel lost with where else to turn now as I really am not coping and I scare myself on what I'll do next :/

Look up patient advocate service with your local health board they may be able to help get things straight.
