Need Advice On Coming Out

I need some advice on how to tell my family and friends that I am bi as I am not sure of how to tell them or what to say. Thank you for any advice given. :)

Have you ever sat there and wondered ‘why am I still here? I don’t even want to be here. I haven’t wanted to be here for so long. What’s keeping me here?’ And then you realize the answer is nothing. And that scares you even more than the fact that you don’t want to be here anymore.

Uhhhm, normally just out and out saying it is the best thing. If you find it hard to physically say 'i'm gay', or 'i'm bi', then what about 'I like women'. I remember I struggled saying it, so went with '**** is my girlfriend'. was much easier. If you know other people who are gay and you know your parents don't have a problem with gay people then you honestly shouldn't worry too much. People can surprise you :) For me, it was a complete non-issue. Pretty much got the response 'oh, alright cool'.

I am also worried about what questions they will ask, I can imagine that they will ask how I figured that I like both girls and guys but why should I answer that question? its not like straight people get asked how they figured out that they like the opposite sex.

Why bother worrying? If they ask, just explain..? They're your friends and family, not strangers just being nosey :)

For you to be here now trillions of drifting atoms had somehow to assemble in an intricate and intriguingly obliging manner to create you. It's an arrangement so specialized and particular that it has never been tried before and will only exist this once. That is of course the miracle of life.

1. Stand in a cupboard holding a sign that says 'Clunge= :D ****= :D' and wait for someone to open it.

2. Bake a cake or make a pop up card.

3. Sit your family/friend down and say 'Guys, I'm straight...straight up bisexual!'

4. Send out an announcement card.

5. Practise on your dog first (or other pet).

I find the thought of sitting people down and telling them a little daunting, and if you do too, perhaps just dropping it casually into the conversation could be the way to go. I've done that many times, and more often than not, no one reacted. The conversation had already moved on before they had the chance to.

Just don't do what my friend did and tell your parents while one of them is driving. His mum almost crashed the car...

You're female aren't you, have you had a girlfriend before? I'm not discouraging you from coming out but I'm curious as to why you want to when you don't need to. It's really brave though so my thoughts are with you. And if you need anything PM me x

Yeah it sounds like something that needs doing especially if it's playing on your mind a lot. I'm sorry I didn't have advice, I just wanted you to know that I cared. And the people that mind aren't worth your time, whilst the people that don't mind have only proven further how loyal and trustworthy they are. After all, being bisexual isn't a huge thing, loads of people are. How would you react if someone told you they were bisexual? Thinking about that might put your mind at ease.

Sit them down and chat with them about it, if it helps have a friend there who can poke you if you don't say anything.

Or, write them a letter. That way you can spend as long as you need to on it and make sure it's perfect before they read it. Also comes with the plus of you can leave it out for them and then forget about it and it's up to them to initiate the conversation.

Don't get bummed about chickening out. Your trying, and that alone deserves a medal.

The best way to go is say that you love all people. Just tell them you fall in love with a person not the gender or anatomy. Tell them you have feeling toward both sexes but its because those people are beautiful people inside and out. It's not about what's under their clothes as much as what's in their hearts! Good luck!
