Unknown Depression
Unknown Depression
By Alyssa Blackburn ©
To feel depressed
To not know why you feel this way
This heavy feeling of darkness
This black hole you see
This unknown depression
The tears that won't escape the eyes
Stuck deep down in the heart
The feeling of losing hope
The feeling of unknown depression
Such a burden for a heart to carry
The unknown depression
That burns a hole in the heart
That rips open a heart
Only to be left with this pain
This pain that can't be explained
No words can explain
The feelings, the emotions, the pain
For it's an unknown depression
Why does a person have to feel this way
Why does a person have to hurt so bad
I suppose it's due to the unknown depression
Wish it didn't exist
For it hurts
It steals joy
It leaves you feeling hopeless
It gives you fear
Of falling and hitting rock bottom
When you have came so far
And been so strong
The unknown depression
Feelings of slipping away
Into your own world
Of hurt and pain
Of the unknown depression
Searching for a light
A path to take you away
From the unknown depression
To carry you away on wings of an angel
To free you of this pain
Yet these are only dreams
To be set free
Of the unknown depression
