Something I wrote on a car ride
Eyes glazed over,
Each breath hurts more than the last,
Trying to control the shaking,
Focus on the future, forget the past,
Hold back the tears--they do no good,
Just prove what you knew all along,
You're weak, shallow, you'll never recover,
The world of the living is not where you belong,
Red to black to white again,
Dare you to breathe among the alive,
Wipe your eyes, smile for the world,
Knowing that all you do is a lie,
Don't burden others with your petty issues,
They don't really care, just feel sorry for you,
So go ahead, end your pain,
There's nothing anyone else can do,
A waste of breathe, of space, of time, of life,
There's nothing left for you here,
Just give up, you don't stand a chance anymore,
Close your eyes and sleep, my dear.
