I was always taught that cosmetic surgery was an abomination. It destroys what God created.

But I have been leaving my house only with the assistance of restrictive binders to minimize my chest. They constrict my lung capacity, and have made it impossible to fit into much of my clothing, or exercise, and I don't know what my other options are.
Help?

Death is becoming a viable option, but I do not want to hurt my partner, family, or friends. How do I overcome this alive?

Is it just the chest area you're wanting to change? Given the amount of pain this evidently causes you then I'd say you are well justified for wanting surgery and that it wouldn't be "cosmetic." I don't know your situation. Have you talked to a counselor to work through the reasons you want this surgery and determine it is right for you? As far as "destroying what God created" I don't know if that's something you truly believe if it is something you were taught that you just can't get out of your head. People are born with deformities, or develop tumors in their bodies that have to be removed and I don't think God disapproves.
