Depakote
I'm on a section 2 at the moment and I al last saw the doctor today they have decided to start me on a mood stabiliser called Depakote.
Just wondering if anyone had been on it and how they found it, especially anyone on it with EUPD/BPD as that is what I am being given it for.

I was on it a few years ago but had to stop it as it made my hair fall out.

i've been on it for 3 months now...its stabilised me but has made me put on weight...i've just weighed myself tonight and have nearly cried because of it...so i will be on the phone to my psych tomorrow and ask to switch and come off depakote.

I'm on it at 1000mg/day, which I believe is a low-moderate dose. I'm not on it for EUPD, but I have found that it works for me. I'm a lot calmer on it. It did make me put on a bit of weight to start with, but nothing horrendous and it's now coming off.
