Anybody else with them at the moment?
I'm really tempted to tell them to just leave me alone now tbh
They give you a time slot they NEVER stick to
I've tried explaining that waiting in the house for them tends to end in me si'ing because I find it hard to be alone indoors all day and often go out walking for hours to reduce my current urges to OD...
This doesn't seem to make any difference. When they come they say nothing of any use whatsoever and half the time they don't even know anything about you so every time it's a different person and they start over from scratch asking you mundane questions...
Any ideas of what you do to occupy your time when stuck waiting in for them.
Tommorow is my birthday and it's not as if I had anything planned other than going out for a walk to reduce the urge to OD... it's more im scared waiting in for them tomorrow will prove too much and I'll give in to that urge...
Just wondered if anybody else had similar experiences with the crisis team... anybody ever found these people useful???
Save me, O God!
The water is up to my neck;
2 I am sinking in deep mud,
and there is no solid ground;
I am out in deep water,
and the waves are about to drown me. 3 I am worn out from calling for help, and my throat is aching.
I have strained my eyes,
looking for your help.
I've had similar issues with them. The last time round they saw me they gave 2 hour time slots of when they'd come round, and they actually stuck to them so I didn't have to wait in all day.
Could you possibly ring them up and tell them when you are going out for a walk to distract yourself.
Theres not a lot you can do about the constant change in people who come. I know how incredibly frustrating that is.
'Cause I'll always remember you the same.
Oh eyes like wild flowers within demons of change ♥
Hey, I haven't had any recent experience but I did find the crisis team extremely helpful a few years ago. I can understand your frustration as well, though.
Could you try to find some things that you can do in the house / nearby to keep yourself distracted? That might also prove useful for whenever you can't go walking for other reasons. I do think Amy's idea about calling them to let them know you're going out - and/or perhaps asking them to ring you to let you know when they're actually on their way out to you.
Do you have a sense of what you WOULD find helpful at the moment, what they could do to help you?
"I know you're sad, so I won't tell you to have a good day. Instead, I advise you to simply have a day.
Stay alive, feed yourself well, wear comfortable clothes, and don't give up on yourself just yet.
It'll get better. Until then, have a day."
I guess may-b that's the problem,i don't think/believe there is anything they can do or so to help me.
I don't think they could say anything to make it stop hurting, and they never really even talk much about what's troubling me, we only ever start the conversation again ie: what meds are you on, who are you're family, do you have any friends, could you watch some telly...
I hope they turn up today cos im already really urgy. My main problem with the house is it's mine and i'm everywhere...it has my artwork on the walls including murals I can't take down, it has all my stuff here, everywhere I look there is the person I want to destroy or forget exists.
Y.day I did say i'd be out between 11-5pm and they said they understood and would come between 9-11pm...that's when the lady rang me and 3 saying she was at my house and I was like ''and im not and I'm miles away so why are we having this conversation when I told you I couldn't be there any longer"
*sigh* thank you for responses..
*su*
I don't know what I want with this...why do birthdays always make feeling suicidal so much worse- the temptation of a rounded life - to die the day it started, the tidiest ending you could get...

I've always had quite good experiences with them coming when they say they will, although I always see them at an exact time (due to certain reasons, i see them in town and they will take me for a coffee as i can't have them coming to my house.)
It's may be worth doing this, because then they are better at sticking to times, and it also gives you a reason to get out the house. If you wanted to they can sort out somewhere private. Though it does vary from area to area, because when i was away and in a completely different part of the country (and i couldn't travel home straight away) i had an incident and saw the local crisis team for a few days, and unlike here they gave me a time slot and said they couldn't see me anywhere other than the hospital or where i was staying. It is worth checking with them and seeing what they can do x
Do not adjust your mind, there is a fault in reality
Hey,
I'm currently worth hem now is well. I've been having suicidal thoughts if wanting to overdose again. I started working with them a week and a half ago when I did a big overdose.
The thing with HTT is that they are useful and pumping medication into you and making you calmer if your manic or psychotic. However if you are depressed some of the people on the team aren't very good at talking to you and responding to the urges. I've spoken a few times openly about wanting to overdose and they've said nothing useful that would help so I end up doing it and then wander why?
I guess all they can do is keep making sure you stay distracted and keep doing things but I know sometimes for me going outside would be more unsafe for me as I would go buy pills.
What do you want from your HTT? Is there anyone in specific you get along with? Could you find out there working patterns and ask to see them?

I don't find the crisis team helpful but I do know some that do.
I wonder if you could talk to them about this? Maybe if you don't think you could vocalise it you could print out what you;ve said in this thread? They aren't ogres and if they are aware of the problem maybe they could work with you on it?
