Almost There...

I'm 17 and 9 month and 2 weeks and some days from being 18. Instead of being excited like I was the past couple of years, I'm terrified. 18. I'll be an adult... A legal adult... It's terrifying... I'm scared of being alone, but I hate living with my mother... What if before I turn 18, my boyfriend leaves me, so if I do move out of my mother's apartment, I have to be alone? What if I don't get into music college? I don't even know what I'm suppose to do about getting an ID or whatever I need to have when I'm 18... What about driving? I tried driving a month ago or so and it scared me to death. I don't want to drive... I'm so scared of being an adult... What advise can you guys give me for an almost-adult? Since you guys are adults after all. ;~;

Major Depression | Asperger's Syndrome | Anxiety NOS | Hints of OCD

Close your eyes. Don't you cry. Love's around you. In time, you'll fly. Don't you worry about the dark. I will light up the night with the love in my heart. I will burn like the sun that will keep you safe and warm. Like the smell of a rose on a summer's day, I will be there to take all your fears away. With the touch of my hand, I will turn your life to GOLD!

The music college thing isn't a problem. I just didn't put "n't" at the end of my "do". If I don't get it, I see it as a problem. It's my dream!!

Public transport really sucks in Indiana. ;~; The buses only go one way on the roads, so it'd be a tedious task to use the system (lol I like that wording). I seriously wish Mom would get a car already; she has said she'd be willing to drive me wherever when she gets one. Though then, there's when I move out. x.x Ugh... Maybe I should just try getting over my fears... Though I did practically have a panic attack when I tried before...

And I don't actually have a permit... ^^" Mom had a rental car for a trip to Canada and I asked if I could try driving it around the block to see if I like driving. She let me and I thought I was going to die. .-. But I do have a passport, but it expires in October. Thanks for the links though; I think they'll definitely help me out. c:

Becoming an adult can be less scary than it seems.

I moved into a hostel at 16 and then got my own flat at 18, managed to keep up with bills and appointments and stuff. Knowing how to buget can really help, in my area they have housing support workers which help you with DIY stuff and benifits, utility bills and employment/education etc. So you should look around and see if there are any agencies in your area that provide this kind of support.

It does take some getting used to I'm not going to lie, but I managed to adjust quite within a few months.

I also joined a few clubs so I could make friends as I didn't know anyone where I moved to and that really helped. Voluntary work is also a good way of meeting new people, that is if you have the time.

Also there are charities that can donate you furniture and stuff which would be worth looking into.

I know it's all the negatives that are coming to mind for you right now, but try to focus on the positives if you can.

'Cause I'll always remember you the same.
Oh eyes like wild flowers within demons of change ♥
