Stretch Marks and Scars

My body stores most of my weight in my legs...so I've started getting stretch marks all over my thighs and now into my calves. The stretch marks have gotten horrible over the last few months...going from light marks to deep purple crevasses...its really grossing me out. But the worst part is those stretch marks are now starting to resemble scars and its triggering as heck. Any advice? :(

Funny how words can't explain how good it finally feels to break the chains. I'm not what I have done- I'm what I've overcome. I make mistakes and I might fall, but I won't break. I've got someone saving me." ♥

Have you tried cocoa butter cream (the good thick stuff) or scar cream. It might take awhile as the cream sets in an starts to work but it will after awhile. It has to be hard that it is triggering you, hopefully you'll find something that helps deminish the marks. If you need anything let me know, take care and continue to be strong.

I havent tried creams yet. My skin gets irritated really easy...even un-scented lotions make my skin flare up so Ive avoided anything like it. o_o

It's understandable about the skin sensitivity my husband has something similar because of a skin condition. Maybe some vitamin e would work as you would just buy the capsules filled with gel and break them apart, they don't have any added scent or anything. There are quite a few natural remedies you can do at home that I found here . These may be able to help you without irritating your skin further. Hope you find it helpful.

Bio-oil I think works for stretch marks as well as scars. It takes a while but I think it works well. It dries quite quickly once its on so you shouldn't have any problems there. I think you can also put it in your bath to help even more.

Just wanted to comment that when I had a rather big weight gain a few years ago due to a medince change, I had awful stretch marks. They were mostly red, not purple, but huge and reminded me of earthworms or something. *shudders* They're now a light silvery colour, barely visible, and I didn't use any creams or anything. I assume that they would be even fainter if I wasn't such a cheapskate and used bio oil or something like that. Good luck with the stretch marks, I hope they die down soon enough and stop triggering you.

And now from having ridden out desire
They lie closed over in the wind and cling
Where wheels have freshly sliced the April mire.
