disguising layers and a white blouse!?

Tomorrow I have to start wearing a white blouse at work.
I have 'extra' permission to wear as many layers as needed as the heating is broken in the office where I work.

Now my questions are these

- do you think I could get away with a pale grey polo neck underneath, or should I wear a top/long sleeved thermal vest and then a white top and then the blouse [my blouses are all fairly loose so space is not an issue!]?

- is a loose black cardi better than a [thicker] forest green jumper? It's just, any cardis etc need to be 'dark colours' and I'm not quite sure how dark dark has to be?!

NB This is all a bit silly, as I will barely see any customers tomorrow, only when I pop in to use the printer [as our office is in chaos at the moment and we don't have a printer, even if my account had printer access!] but I am under strict instruction to wear the full dress code..

it would be a bit strange to wear a polo shirt underneath a blouse due to the collar on the poloshirt. Secondly if its a dark shade of green it will be fine, they just dont want any bright or neon colours.

Haha, maybe neon would do it! :P [I keep saying I'm going to wear rainbow socks as no one will see it under my trousers!]

I mean polo neck [roll neck?] not polo shirt. :)

I think I need to give my Mum some knitting projects...! Lots of nice dark jumpers and cardis.

ha ha i think they are the same thing, if you can hide the neck part it should be ok, but might get a bit uncomfterable after a while.

Must take ages to knit something!

I still think a polo neck is odd with a blouse. I would wear a vest/cami top underneath (your choice if it's thermal or not), and then have a black or dark coloured cardigan or top over it.

At school everyone wore polo necks under their blouses. :)

Last week I was shivering in the office with a long sleeved thermal vest, polo neck, cardigan and wooly scarf on!
