Substance misuse.

I think I need to admit that I need some help and support.

I've been taking Co-Codamol tablets constantly for about a year now. It started because I was in terrible physical pain, and I still am, although I think what i'm doing is starting to get serious :/

I was laying in bed last night, really agitated and restless. I felt awful. I realised I hadn't taken the Co-Codamol and I had to get up and find some. I started to feel a bit better in 20 minutes or so.

I don't know how to say this, but I think I have a problem with it. I'm not too sure where to go. I don't want to tell my GP because they will stop prescribing. I am in a lot of physical pain but the psychological addiction is there as well, I think.

I'm quite scared.

Hey, I've had many drug & alcohol issues, including dropping Co-Codamol's like Smarties, Co-Codamol addiction for me lead to me using Heroin & developing an issue even more dangerous & scary to deal with, please consider cutting down your Co-Codamol use I'd hate to think of anyone feeling trapped like I did, you could go and explain about the need for pain relief that may be better suited, for example there are pain relief patches that may be suitable instead of risking or later facing addiction issues from Co-Codamol abuse. Please be very careful & if you start feeling unwell at any time get yourself checked out by a doctor or hospital. Try and be as safe as you can good luck and hope you can get through this without too many issues xxx *hugs*

I know you don't want to but it woukd be wise to discuss it with your gp. They may be able to find you an alternative or at least help you to reduce your intake. I'm sure you know it's unhealthy to be dependent on a substance, whether physical or psychological. Your gp can also help you contact a support group where you can speak to peolle that understand.

The only time you will find real light is when you're searching in the dark..
