Hallucinations (Alcohol)
A few times after drinking I have seen/ felt things crawling, or creeping, either on my skin or on things around me. It doesn't always happen, but after a heavy drink it occurs, also sometimes intense paranoia. WHAT is happening? Does anybody else get this?

i know what you are experiencing oh too well, only i get these feelings and hallucinations when i'm extremely stressed out rather than from alcohol, not sure if it could be the alcohol mixing with any meds you're on? i'm trying to think what would cause it. anyway hugs hun x

It could be that. :( I saw a psychiatrist the other day and he said that it was more likely to be caused by alcohol withdrawal, then by my bipolar. :( I've been told so, so, so many times about my drinking... & if this is what's going on I'm gonna need to do something. I was in a psych ward a couple of weeks ago, maybe a month, not sure, and they gave me pills to detox :-/ Bit worrying. Makes it all seem a bit serious suddenly.

Maybe this is a good reason to cut down on the alcohol (slowly and safely)?
How do you feel about detoxing?

Things are worsening, a while ago I was pretty ill and I started to think things I could only half convince myself weren't right and now they're back.
