Yes I was glad to be in the right place at the right time but I never felt responsible for the good outcome. I could easily have never turned around since I often had radio on. Intuition just gave me a nudge and it was like the child had divine providence going for her and I was just the clump of flesh close enough to make the minor exertion needed.
I will add the "nanny" got fired several months latter when she was caught driving in town while the baby was home alone in the crib. After that they never again used the long preferred Caribbean girls who are charming and easy going (too easy going actually). They got German nanny after that. Germans and Brazilians seem to have a more no nonsense, perfectionist attitude
