What's happening to me? & Where do I even begin?

I hate this feeling, the feeling that I'm being watched. It feels so unnerving and my skin seems to itch all over, like there are tiny spiders crawling all over me. I literally feel like I want to dig at my skin, but am trying to refrain from doing so, because I know that nothing will come from it. I've been having episodes like this since I was very young, but stopped telling people about it since I grew older, it never went away, and it got increasingly worse. It was from the time that I was ten to the time that I was about thirteen or twelve that I started hearing voices all the time, saying irrational or crude things. It was as if they were thoughts, that were just not coming from me, bouncing around in my head. They've gone away now, only returning occasionally to tell me that there's someone living in my mirror or that I should plug all of the drains in the house due to fear of forced entry. I've been diagnosed with depression, but have never addressed these things that have been bothering me while I was in therapy. Now they're starting to effect my functioning in everyday life. I'm scared to ask for help and I'm confused about what's happening to me, and what I should do about it. Could anyone please offer me a hand? (P.S.: I apologize in advance for how long I know that my post will be. )

That sounds very distressing and I'm sorry you've experiences these things.
Can you pinpoint anything that triggers these experiences off? Highly stressful situations or overwhelming emotional distress for example?
Could you explain why you haven't explained about these experiences to your doctor or care team? Do you feel able to bring these things to their attention and get some support for how you're feeling?

Thank you.

Thank you for responding and I appreciate your thoughts. & I really can't think of any particular triggers to these, except that, before these always happen, I start to disassociate a bit more, & I have problems deciding whether or not to do anything at all. It's as if everything becomes a battle. I really haven't spoken to anyone about this out of a fear of what they will say/think about me, or what the outcome will be.

Professionals will have heard things like this lots of times, so don't worry about feeling like they may think differently of you. If anything, they may be able to offer you a bit more support with these distressing things

I am sorry that you are experiencing this, it must be very distressing. The fact that it is not interfering with how you function in life I would advise you to seek out professional support. I know the idea of seeking out support can be scary and it can feel like they will judge you or not understand. Professionals are trained to deal with this kind of thing though, they will have helped other people who are going through what you have. All the best
