Based on the real diary of Rae Earl, who used to be a radio presenter on the no-longer airing Leicester Sound, so remember some of this from car rides to school!
oh, isn't it time you got over, how fragile you are?

because that's who you are,
and you've only begun to shine.
I really enjoyed it, I think it was done quite well.
"I want to be magic. I want to touch the heart of the world and make it smile. I want to be a friend of elves and live in a tree. Or under a hill. I want to marry a moonbeam and hear the stars sing. I don’t want to pretend at magic anymore. I want to be magic."

Leicester Sound is no longer aired? What?! I used to listen to that all the time.

They got rid of it and now there's just Capital, which sucks in comparison. Woe! :P

I've just watched it again and enjoyed it even more the second time around. I've seen one of the guy actors in something else though. It's bugging me. Think I need to take a trip over to Wikipedia.
I saw it and really enjoyed it, but I thought Rae is way cooler than all the friends she's trying to impress. It made me think back to being 16 and how I would have dealt with the issue of stigma. I loved her accent and thought she was funny (and that her therapist is awesome).
One bug-bear: her friend Tix threw a glass vase of flowers that was in the psych. ward toilet. I know it was a daydream of Rae's, but I think a plastic one might have been more realistic.
