If you're on a budget, seeing your GP might be best; you can get certain creams and gels on prescription, or if they're very bad, a referral to a dermatologist/plastic surgeon.
Moisturiser works quite well, and there's not really any evidence to suggest more expensive ones work better.

I would highly recommend bio-oil. It takes a while to take affect but works nicely xx

Bio oil is hugely expensive though.
Try mousturising them as much as you can and massaging them. You can use any mousturiser for this and it should work as well as anything else.

Massaging scars with cocoa butter or moisturising cream helps to break up the harder scar tissue underneath. Apparently!

If they are raised and stuff your GP can prescribe you special creams. My GP recently prescribe a steroids cream which has helped reduce the redness.
