Hi, I don't know where you are living but recently there have been some changes where I am and the psychiatrists now are obliged to tell you your diagnosis. I would ask yours directly and explain why you want to know. Before these changes in my area, my psych didn't want to tell me my diagnosis but I told her I just wanted to know I was getting the right treatment and medication. I think it helped to have a diagnosis but it also make me question it as when i lived in a different county i was given a different diagnosis and I have had a second opinion since and she said I have both diagnosis (bipolar and borderline). I have bought books from amazon on both and done lots of research and feel I'm getting the right treatment now and that I'm more in control. Before I knew my diagnosis I thought I was just been an idiot but it confirmed something was indeed wrong. Sorry that was a bit of a ramble! PM if you want to talk!
