Thanks, I love that song coming down, it's really hard hitting and emotional in a good way. One of my favorite artists is pink I love all of her songs and fu**ing perfect is my favorite out of all of hers x
Keep holding on by avril lavigne it has helped me before its like really optimistic And it's about not letting go no matter how hard things might get x
Hey I know It's not exactly the same but.
The show must go on- Queen.
It was written when Freddie was diagnosed with his illness, he continued writing music up until the day he died, I just find it very inspiring xxx
Hold On by Good Charlotte. The official video has spoken parts from people who have lost someone to suicide, I guess reminding us to reach out because suicides hurt so many people, the people who love you and want to help you- its so moving, I cry every time at the last girl to speak.
I recommend listening to the Avril song afterwards in case it gets too deep!
A Few Small Bruises - by Maria Mena
Are We There Yet - by Ingrid Michaelson. I know it's not actually about self harm / suicidal thoughts but it really reminds me of how I feel about recovery.
Don't let them tell you "f***ed up" isn't fine:
There's like a million kinds of crazy and I kind of like mine.
Breaking the habit by linkin park. It's not exactly about recovering from SI, but somewhat along the same lines.
F***king Perfect, by Pink.
Smile, by Uncle Kracker. And Iris- Goo Goo Dolls. They're not about self-harm but they cheer me up and lift my moods when I'm feeling down.
Hope these helped :)
Wow, that first song is incredibly strong. Envoked a lot of emotions in me, I thought it was amazing!
It doesn't matter if you have all the people in the world to talk to, you still have to find the strength to say in words, what you would normally say on your skin

Isn't Iris by The Goo Goo Dolls about self-harm? There's a lyric in it that says "you bleed just to know you're alive", which makes me think of self-harm.
