Stuck

I'm really sorry to post, but I don't really know what to do.

Since last night I have been incredibly panicky and upset, and I'm having trouble keeping my breathing rate at a normal level. I am crying and worrying and my heart is pounding and I don't have anyone I feel able to call to calm me down. I don't know what I'm worried about (vaguely concerned about my future and applying for a Masters I guess) but I generally just feel terrified and like something terrible is going to happen. I'm alone in the house.

I don't know what I want from this really but I am scared and could do with support. Thanks if you read.

I'm sorry you're feeling so panicked right now. Could you try calming yourself down with a bubble bath or distracting yourself with a movie? What about music? Are there any songs that could relax you?

how are you feeling now? has it lessened at all?

if you haven't gotten much sleep, i would try to go to bed early tonight. being tired definitely won't help this.

try to relax your muscles, even if that takes thinking about each of them separately. when i'm really stressed like that, i find it helpful to listen to books on tape sometimes... or if you have a pet, try playing or cuddling with them




this is my magical medicine cabinet. Left to right they contain: courage, hope, calmness, and strength.

The magical part: They NEVER run out, so borrow some any time you want.

Hi guys, thanks for your kind replies and sorry for not returning to the thread sooner. The anxiety attack did pass eventually and I'm still not 100% but I'm feeling a little better.
