Also just want to add that I went IP for my ED at a healthy weight and when I arrived I was told that if I didn't stay that I was likely to die in the next few weeks. I was sent to a medical ward first for stabilisation.
I was extremely physically unwell and a normal weight.
I spent the first week mostly unconscious an was not allowed to attend and OT groups for the first month I was there because I was just too sick. There were emaciated girls who came in the same week as me and they were allowed to attend groups form the first week of admission.
I was admitte due to my poor psychical condition rather that my state of mind. Although I was diagnosised with other mental health problems while there.
Weight, sometimes, had nothing to do with it. Or at least it didnt in my case.
Don't let people fool you that you have to be "skinny" to have a serious ED.
