Hey there, it sounds like you are panicking a fair bit, could you try and count your breathing; count to 7 as you inhale slowly through your nose and then exhale slowly through your mouth aiming to count to 11. Become mindful of your breathing and focus on the air moving into and out of your lungs; the way it feels and the sensation it creates as it flows past your nostrils, lips and airways.
Could you talk to your friend and tell her you are struggling?
In the mean time, maybe make a brainstorm of all the things you enjoy doing as a way to distract from the urges, I think when your body has calmed a little, it may be easier to think more clearly.
