Coming off Dosulepin...on to Sertraline

I've been on various medications over the last 8 years, but the doctor I saw last week has recommended I switch to Sertraline, as Dosulepin isn't helping anymore.

1) Has anyone ever had to come off a medication by reducing doses and then having a few days 'clean' so to speak? If so how did you cope? I get so low and feel so physically ill I'm kinda worried.

2) Sertraline has popped up in threads on here a few times - just wondered if anyone who's got experience of Dosulepin could tell me how they found the transition?
