So basically, I've been ill for nearly two weeks now, and I'm on antibiotics etc. I'm due to sign on tomorrow morning but if I feel as bad as I do today then I think I'll have to call up and say I'm sick, however I have no idea what the procedure is if I do so, and google isn't really helping.

So basically, does anyone know what will happen in regards to whether I'll get my benefit late, or whether I'll have to sign on on a different day or anything?

I think you have to go ...my niece didn't go once and she didn't get her benefit that week
maybe call them and tell them what is going on

Sometimes if you are ill and can prove it, with prescriptions or doctors notes, then they can send a form out to you that you sign and post back. Although I'm not totally 100% sure as that was some one else's experience not mine. If I were you I would call them in the morning before your appointment time and explain that you're ill and see what they suggest.

Thank you for the replies, it looks like I'm going to have to call them and see what they say, my job centre have a horrible habit of not answering the phone though, so I have visions of having to go there anyway because they won't answer ><

Oh well, hopefully I'll be feeling a bit better tomorrow anyway :)
