Social Services Assessment: Tommorow
My cmht 'worker' (if you can call someone who doesn't see me a worker that is) told me they have arranged a social services assessment (they call it a section 47 nhs asssement) for tommorow with a mental health social worker and an OT from physical services. I was wondering if anyone had any advice; I am very very very worried about it. My flat is a mess; like me at the moment; it's freezing cold (no heating) and I am massively struggling mentally.
Part of my MH is total conflict with regard to being helped. It's okay for the others who live in my body when I am not being helped (though not for me); but this assessment isn't okay for me or the others and it's really hurting me.
My housing worker wants me mentioning the fact I'm spending increasing time sleeping on the street due to the disruption my MH is causing others in the building; but I know they won't believe me. They just don't; it's me.
Anyway, anyone had an assessment like this? What happened? I'm also really worried about cost of things as I can't afford to hand over my benefits as I need them for other things like taxis to buy food and medical stuff not on prescription. Can I be made to hand over my benefits?
