coudl quite do with ti for me
as a i really cant ype
and dotn want to upset or confuse people

Right, that could be why.
When on FF, the spellcheck option doesn't seem to be there, where it does on IE. Unfortunatly, I would imagine that there is a reason for that - similarly, the formatting codes didn't work on FF on RYL v.2.

Firefox has a spell check add-on, it either comes with one of the upgrades or you can download it yourself. Thats what I use, and I am so damn grateful for it hahah.
