Dog tricks

I'm really proud of my doggies and so I wanted to show them off a bit and some of the stuff they can do. It's nothing amazing, but I love them to bits

http://youtu.be/PQjdKM-yOkg

http://youtu.be/5rir6mpLIZ4

http://youtu.be/TRHipDY12Nc

http://youtu.be/ve8eR-pOVdM

http://youtu.be/CrSEDP_Elbs (completely useless trick but all I had - I want to get her pushing a toy pram or a trolley or something but can't afford to buy one at the moment!)

http://youtu.be/9eteFHjFPh8

http://youtu.be/ZBQkwApBshM

These videos mostly only feature Ben (nearly 10 year old Border Terrier) and Poppy (15 month old Lakeland terrier) we also have another two dogs, but one is too lazy to do tricks, and the other we have only had for a few weeks so he doesn't know much yet! Most of these videos are also a few months old. I'll have to do some more up to date ones soon.

This is the four of them together:

Do your dogs do any cool tricks? Would love to see them!
Any ideas for cute/unusual/funny things I can teach my lot next?

aww, they are so cute!

and awesome tricks, when i was at home, i tried to teach one of ours a few tricks, but he's too damn lazy!!

I'm fine! Totally fine. I don't know why it's coming out all loud and squeaky, 'cause really, I'm fine!

Who else is fine?!?!?

Yeah, our sash is a lazy one. She will put her paws up on a box, and push a ball into a cardboard box "goal", and sit and high 5 but that's about it.

Taught pop to piggyback today (jump onto my shoulder) but will have to practise a bit more before I feel confident to video it!

My dog plays dead when you say 'bang', I think that is his coolest trick.
He also barks on command, Puts his front paws on my shoulders and 'dances' and the usual, paw (other paw) , fetch etc.

I know someone who taught there dog to get stuff out the washing machiene and shut doors and things- she was a dog trainer but I thought they were cool. Not that Id want my dogs mouth on my clean clothes.

I taught a couple of mine to shut doors. Bloody nightmare though coz now whenever I open the cupboard she slams it shut before I have chance to get anything out of it!!

We are working on putting washing into the washing basket.

We have a 20 month old German Spitz (Lolik) who loves learning tricks, and a 9 month old Pomeranian (Zhuzha) who doesn't really get the idea of tricks. I don't have any videos of Lolik's tricks, I should really make some. He sits, lies down, gives his paw, jumps through hoops, jumps over an outstretched leg, does tumbles and few others. Unusual ones he does are "give me a kiss", and "say woof quietly" (he whispers) and "say woof loudly". Also, not tricks as such, but he knows the names of his toys: ball, a different little ball (another word in Russian), bug (a fabric ladybird), also a favourite biscuit of his. If you ask "are you an angry dog?" he finds his bug and starts growling and shaking it.
Zhuzha can only sit on command, gives you her paw, and gives kisses if you ask (and if you don't). She doesn't really get the concept of being required to do anything else.
EDIT: Just watched your videos and remembered that Lolik also does a leg weave quite well. Except for when he's overexcited, then he keeps jumping instead.

I'll try to video him tomorrow, but it'll be poor quality because I only have my phone to record on.

Mine knows some simple tricks, I think it's important to give them mental stimulation.

BRILLIANT! I legit have to train some of my mum's dogs to do tricks! The nearest we get is:

Storm (white german shepherd) putting her paw on K's lap to get treats....

Troy (border collie) doing as he is told :p

Sox (collie x) jumping into your arms....

Patch (tri cavvie) opening handbags to steal from them....

Skye (blenheim cavvie) rolling over whenever you stroke her....

I legit should teach them all to play dead if I say bang.... imagine 5 dogs in a row doing that! :p
