Blood in urine
At first I thought it was my period but I only have blood down below when I urinate. No blood is apparent at any other times and I've had this ongoing for days with quite a lot of blood.
I've been having lower abdomen pains too.
Any ideas?

Sounds like its either a urine infection or an std, but more likely the first option, best to go to the doctors as you will need to be treated.

Fight for another day
|
It could be a number of things but blood in the urine is not a good sign so best to get it checked out by the doctor.

I only notice the blood when I wipe. Not in the actual urine in the bowl. There's sometimes quite a bit and other times hardy anything.

As i said you need to go to the doctors because it is likely to be an infection.

Hope everything's okay and that you get to the doctor's.

Sounds like, from my own experiance, this is a UTI, but whether it is one or not, you need to go to the GP to have what ever is going on diagnosed.

Take a fresh urine sample with you when you see your GP too.
As it's only there when you wipe makes me wonder if it is from your urine (as then you'd also see it mixed in with it unless it was only small amounts but then it wouldn't be obvious when you wiped) or not; it could be that you have a small injury around there or a slight bit of vaginal bleeding. It's difficult to say but yeah, go and see your doctor, explain everything to them and take a fresh urine sample with you and hopefully then they'll be able to help further.

Saw my dr and didn't take a sample. Tried to but only gave a tiny bit but she said there was blood in my urine. Had to drop in another sample and have a blood test done in my appt. I'm on antibiotics for 3days and get results next week to see what's goin on

Keep taking the antibiotics they gave you because if its is a uti then you need to take and finish the dose before you will see any results.

Okay, if it doesn't go away and I go back, how quickly will they investigate?

It depends what they think is going on. They can do a quick check of your urine there and then if you take a sample which can give an indicator of infection; if they want to know more such as they're unsure or they want to know what bacteria or if there is anything else there then they'll want to send it off to a lab which may take a couple of days to get the results.
Really it's difficult to say as we don't know what the doctors said but it will take a couple of days for the antibiotics to start to work enough for you to really notice so it may just be that you're in that phase however, if it continues to worsen then get checked out. Other than that we can't really say much as now you're under the care of a doctor regarding this and therefore we don't know what they've done and haven't, what they think and also what the plan will be if it doesn't resolve which really would be what we needed, alongside other things, to give accurate info.

Thank you. They've taken a urine and blood sample for testing at the lab. In two days into the three days of tablets and getting worse
I guess I'll see what the results are
