This may seem fairly obvious..
Hi all,
Have been left alone for 2 weeks as my boyfriend's travelling (work and pleasure). Add to this I work in the same office as him, and am the only one NOT away this week. I'm currently waiting for a referral/wait list for pyschotherapy (i think). I've got suspected BPD and known depression and anxiety.
And I am freaking the **** out.
I don't know what's happened in the past 3 days but I'm not actually functioning at the moment. I'm anxious. Can't eat. Having frequent issues with hyperventilation and I don't know why. I just don't know what to do. I pride myself on managing to function most of the time, then having 'bad weeks' where ignoring all my issues piles up and I can't cope. However this is unlike anything else I've ever had to deal with.
I don't know who to talk to/what to do? I've got a referral on 15th Oct, but until then I'm pretty much on my own. Help, please.

Take too many pictures, laugh too much and love like you've never been hurt because every 60seconds you spend upset is a minute of happiness you'll never get back ...don't be afraid your life will end, be afraid that it will never begin.

Are you able to make an appointment with your doctor, just to chat about things while you're alone at the moment?
It sounds like you really are feeling very alone in your experiences, coupled with the fact you're physically alone in many sectors of your life. I find things tend to get harder for me when I am alone, and I'm wondering if there's any family or friends you can arrange to see for some days to keep you with people and less isolated and alone?
You do sound very panicky at the moment so I hope you can see your GP or maybe call a helpline and discuss your feelings, as hyperventiltating and not being able to eat are quite impacting.
You mention you ignore all your issues and it catches up with you: what do you think you can do right now to perhaps try and work through that, and instead of ignoring your issues, treating yourself with some support and compassion to help you through this?
Remember, as overwhelming as I can hear this is for you, it will pass, and we're here to help you get there xxx

Thank you.
I took your advice and went to the doctors. I find it hard to be honest but I was, and they gave me diazepam which has helped enormously. I'm still not calm, but the doctor said there were other things they could do which made me feel so much better.
Thank you for taking the time to respond. The last few days have been tough, but I'm focusing on one day at a time at the moment.

I just want to say well done for going, and I'm glad they listened. Did they say anything about what sorts of things they mean when saying they can do more?
One day at a time is all we can do sometimes. Maybe plan something in for today to reward yourself for going and being honest with them.

Wow, I'm really proud of you for reaching out and going to the doctors, especially as it can be such a tough thing to do. Well done! I hope at least in the short term the medication can help you, did the doctor mention any of the other things the doctor could help with?
I'm sorry it took me so long to see this post, but I'm very glad you've reached out and got that support and am immensely proud of you. I can hear things have still been really tough and sometimes one day at a time is all you can do. Keep on trying, you're doing great xx
