Finding a private therapist

I'm trying to find a private psychotherapist. I've been on bacp but there's no filter I can see for working with PDs.
There's a self harm filter but that's not the only issue.

Also am unclear even after looking at bacp the actual differences between a psychotherapist & a counsellor. Although I think a psychotherapist has more training????

Can anyone help.

Thanks

Psychotherapists have a more indepth training and the criteria for qualification are stricter, and work deeper than counselling. Counselling is more supportive rather that re-constructive, as it were. Though supportive can be re-constructive... Confusing, I know. Sorry!

UKCP is another place to look.

Any more questions you're welcome to ask.
I have done some psychotherapy training [MA, integrative, but unfortunately got very ill so had to stop part way through]. There are also some folks around who've completed various levels of counselling training.
