Interesting - I've still been using a basic phone because I hardly ever use a mobile. But I'll be taking the leap and its good to know why people like different things.
There are times to stay put, and what you want will come to you.
But there are times to go out into the world and find such a thing for yourself.
I aint no abacus but you can count on me.
QWERTY. Solid keys are more accurate, especially for texting without looking. In the sun, solid keys have no glare at all. In the dark, lit keys cause much less eyestrain than looking at the screen, even if the back-light is on minimum power. Touch screens may be more stylish, and may be better if you want to maximise screen size for watching videos on your phone. But for texting, which constitutes 90% of my phone use, QWERTY is much more practical. Call me old-fashioned, (I actually embrace my old-fashionedness.) but I have a laptop for the internet.
You are more than the choices that you've made.
You are more than the sum of your past mistakes.
You are more than the problems you create.
You've been remade!
QWERTY all the way! I can hold the phone and text at the same time. I'd never be able to do that with touch screen. I've never had a touch screen though I've used colleagues' for bits and bobs and I just cannot get my fingers around it due to my lack of coordination, I guess.
I'm going to say touch screen because that's what I have.
However, if I'm writing something on my phone that's longer than a text, a document or something, I have a small keyboard I connect to my phone via blutooth. It's really small, the size of my iphone and half as thick. it stops me making too many mistakes which my fat fingers can make over time on a touch screen keyboard.
Don't be fooled by my smooth skin. The deepest scars are the ones unseen.

QWERTY definitely. When I had a touchscreen, I always hit the wrong letter, which caused serious typing woes. With qwerty, I now hit the right buttons most of the time. But I have a touchscreen on my qwerty, so I get the best of both worlds. :)
Love having a touch screen, the only down side is when i'm trying to text when its raining its impossible to text myself but the droplets text random letters which is rather annoying but that doesn't happen too often.
'Cause I'll always remember you the same.
