Phones: QWERTY Vs Touchscreen

Which feature do you prefer best on a phone: QWERTY keyboard or touchscreen?

Definitely Qwerty! Touchscreens troll me.

I chose touch screen, mainly because I use my phone more for apps than actually texting!

Interesting - I've still been using a basic phone because I hardly ever use a mobile. But I'll be taking the leap and its good to know why people like different things.

Touchscreen - it's a lot faster to type for me on a touchscreen. And I like apps.

Touch screen. I like the extra screen space, and it has qwerty enabled on mine.

QWERTY. Solid keys are more accurate, especially for texting without looking. In the sun, solid keys have no glare at all. In the dark, lit keys cause much less eyestrain than looking at the screen, even if the back-light is on minimum power. Touch screens may be more stylish, and may be better if you want to maximise screen size for watching videos on your phone. But for texting, which constitutes 90% of my phone use, QWERTY is much more practical. Call me old-fashioned, (I actually embrace my old-fashionedness.) but I have a laptop for the internet.

I like the qwerty because my fingers are little too chunky for touch screen. I usually get stuck having to delete everything.

QWERTY all the way! I can hold the phone and text at the same time. I'd never be able to do that with touch screen. I've never had a touch screen though I've used colleagues' for bits and bobs and I just cannot get my fingers around it due to my lack of coordination, I guess.

Ama, the new blackberry (9900) has both...that's what I have. Suits my cravings for OMG TOUCHSCREEN and I can actually type like a normal human being.

I like touchscreens, I just can't type on them. I am dreading the day I have to convert to a touch screen fully.

This is why I will never send prank texts from a touch screen phone because I won't be able to do it quick enough/make it legible.

I'm going to say touch screen because that's what I have.
However, if I'm writing something on my phone that's longer than a text, a document or something, I have a small keyboard I connect to my phone via blutooth. It's really small, the size of my iphone and half as thick. it stops me making too many mistakes which my fat fingers can make over time on a touch screen keyboard.

I prefer QWERTY, to be honest. I always end up having to delete everything on a Touchscreen and it's frustrating. I can't type as fast as I'd like to.

QWERTY definitely. When I had a touchscreen, I always hit the wrong letter, which caused serious typing woes. With qwerty, I now hit the right buttons most of the time. But I have a touchscreen on my qwerty, so I get the best of both worlds. :)

Love having a touch screen, the only down side is when i'm trying to text when its raining its impossible to text myself but the droplets text random letters which is rather annoying but that doesn't happen too often.

'Cause I'll always remember you the same.
