When I was doing my A levels - including Sociology, obviously! - BT ran an advert where Maureen Lipman has a phone convo with her son, and she says "Oooh you've got an ology, that means your a scientist!" It was a sort of theme ad in my family for a while! Seeing as it was in '88 I may not be able to find it, so let me see.... Here we are -

Actually I have a story about adverts. When I was little I was a bit of a pest when my mum wanted to see to my younger brother. The only thing is that I used to love adverts and used to be absolutely mesmorised by them. So my mum recorded a load of adverts off the telly, and when she wanted to left alone with my brother she used to play the video which had the adverts on. It worked for a while until I got used to the adverts, of which she had to record a new set of adverts.
Even now I get distracted/mesmorised by adverts. To me they're sometimes better than what is on the telly! I love the Flash advert that is on the telly, but it's not on youtube! I think I should have a career in marketing LOL.

I think I remember it most as Um Bongo fascinated me - but, due to its sugar and possibly additives in the 90s I wasn't allowed it. I've never even had it. Wonder if they still do it... as an adult I can have ALL the sugar and E-numbers.
I love um bongo, and they have fairly recently re-released it, it's still full of sugar, but there's fewer e numbers.
I bought some cartons from Asda the other day, it's expensive but it just reminded me of being a kid!
In more OT news I don't really have a favourite advert, I tend to flick channels when they come on!
