Olanzepine

I know theres another thread on this page about this, but its not quite the question I wanted to ask. I have recently been prescribed Olanzepine and I was wondering does hunger as a side effect of olanzepine ever go? Or will I always be hungry as long as I am on this medication? Also my dose is going to be doubled soon does that mean that the side effects like the hunger could get worse?

What dose will you be on?

I've been on Olanzapine a few times, the longest being about a year and a half. For me, towards the end of taking it, it had no effect on my appetite and i was actually losing weight. So yeah, it is possible for it to go away.

I found it calmed down a little but not significantly, so yeah the first few months are the hardest. I was on 10mg and had withdrawal coming off it - complete insomnia, sickness, general ill feeling etc. x

I hope for nothing. I fear nothing. I am free.

Speaking to my doctor today she is under the impression that the hunger doesn't really calm much, so I am not holding much hope.

I took the higher dose of the olanzepine last night and within 20 mins I was really lightheaded so I went to bed. In the past other seroquel lowered my blood presure and made me faint, could olanzepine be doing the same thing?
