Artists, a challenge for you!

More a commission really. Money will be involvd at some point.

I'm looking into getting a tattoo, a half sleeve on my left arm, which incorporates all of the things I've loved through my life. Basically a tattoo of my favourite things.
Now you don't just find something like that lying around in a book or on the net to just take to an artist. Designing it myself is out of my league, too many things to mash together for my limited skills. And going to a tattoo artist and asking them to design it is expensive before they even put ink to your skin. I don't know my local artists well enough to ask for mates rates.

So I thought I'd take a gamble and ask any budding artists on here if they want to try and design the tattoo for me. As the word "commission" Indicates I am willng to pay for your efforts. We can decide on a price via PM, so we can negotiate and arrive at a fee we are both comfortable with.

I'd love to see many different designs from many different people so can choose the best one to buy but I don't expect you to go to all the effort of designing a tattoo for nothing, so all I'm asking for right now are simple sketches, preliminary designs, works in progress or whatever you call it, something you don't have to pour 100% of time and effort into but would give me an idea of what the finished product would look like.

The following content has been hidden - Reason : Saving Space - Details, measurements, pictures & info.

For those who don't know a half-sleeve is a tattoo that covers only half an arm, traditionally from shoulder to elbow.
For me this would make the tattoo 13 inches long, Around 17 inches wide around the top (where the bicep would be) and around 13 inches around the base above the elbow.

My left arm already has a tattoo on it, which I'd like to be incorporated into the design. In terms of measurements this tattoo would be around the halfway point.
To be perfectly technical it's 5 inches from the shoulder & 6 inches from the elbow.
The design is circular and is 2 inches tall and the same wide.
The design is this:

It's known as the Seal of Rassilon, which is part of Doctor Who fandom.

The more extravagant the better, colours, shades, a background or dotwork, anything at all. I really want this to be a fantastic bit of work.
And don't be afraid to explore the subjects I give you. If there's some image you have in mind on that subject please try and work it in. For example, when I say Harry Potter, working on the crests of hogwarts and Ravelclaw that doesn't mean you only have to draw just those. If you want to, say, toss in symbols like glasses, a wand, a lightning bolt, the deathly hallows symbol etc. then do so.

The various things I'd love incorporating into the tattoo design are:
Star Trek
Doctor Who
- The Tardis really, nothing much more than that since the rassilon symbol is going to be part of the design. Maybe a Dalek if you want
Firefly - (a tv series) The space ship if possible but definitely work in the logo of Serenity:

Captain Planet - particularly the symbols of the rings. (the following is the best image I could find)

If you want to, you could try and incorporate the Captain Planet globe into the group:

Harry Potter - particularly concentrating on the hogwarts crest and the crest of ravenclaw. But feel free to add anything else you see fit.
World of Warcraft - working on the symbols of the Horde:

And the Forsaken:

But, again, you can throw in anything else if you think you'd like.
Tim Burton's works - Mostly The Nightmare Before Christmas.
Pokemon - pokeballs and the pokemon Pikachu and Squirtle.
Sakura Flowers - Pink cherry blossom flowers, the art style usually looks like this:

Spirited Away - particularly No Face and the dragon form of Haku. I have this image of the dragon coiled around my arm. But I'm open to your own creativity on the design.
and finally A pentagram.

I'll give it a go for you, I'm always up for a challenge, but that is A LOT of elements for one tattoo. I'll see what I can come up with :)

Now I'll play your ghost as my ace, whenever I'm led astray.
But I am actually good, can't help it if we're tilted.
I'm in my right place, don't be a downer.

Maybe consider extending it to a full sleeve rather than half sleeve to try to fit everything in?

I'm no artist but I do have a tattoo and the tattooist always says it is better to have something big than too small. Otherwise it can be hard to make out, and looks like it's been squashed in, and if the colours run or fade when you get older it will be harder to tell what it is.

I thought about a full sleeve but I have a tattoo on my left forearm already which would be harder to merge into any design.

That is definitely too much for half a sleeve. If you incorporated all that the detailing would be small and over time become blobs because of how the ink separates under your skin over the years.

Personally, i think the way to go is ask your tattoo artist to design it. They will know how small the images can go and can ale in to account the dips and such of your arm. If that makes sense.

If people want to try designing a full sleeve they can. I'll have to see the artist about covering or incorporating my other tattoo it it.

actually: Looking at it, The shape of that tattoo isn't that different from the shape of the branch on the example pic for Sakura.

I've given it some thought and perhaps it is too much for a half sleeve.

So, to make it easier, I suggest you could choose about half of the things I've listed. What you pick is up to you though. So that can still lead to some interesting designs. Each one different and unique.
