depression getting worse

hi. i wasnt too sure where to post this so hope this is ok.
im really struggling with everyhting right now. i left college a couple of weeks ago. I loved the course but it involved being up around four and home at six, with intense levels of studying while struggling with depression and an ED. somehow did it and achieved an overall distinction tho. However, i now seem to be having some kind of breakdown! my depression is so bad that i cant motivate myself to do anything, im irritable, weepy and have started self harming and struggling with my ED.
I should be making some kind of plan for uni and courses etc but everything is just getting too much i guess. want to OD but have only a few pills in the house. really dont know what to do.

Have you been to see your GP honey because I really think you should.
They may be able to give you meds or refer you for treatment which could make you feel so much better.

It sounds like you've been so busy that all that work you've been doing has been a sort of distraction for how you feel, and now you don't have anything keeping you going, you've sort of, just stopped completely.

I do think it's a really good idea to go see your GP.

With the plan for Uni, maybe you could do a little at a time. Like look on the internet at one Uni one day, a different one the next day. You never know, once you start looking you might start to look forward to it. The hardest bit is always starting something.

thank you both for your replies.
tough day today. had to have this medical assessment as they are saying im no longer entitled to DLA. it was horrible cos she asked what i do each day. i used to be such a busy person but all i seem to have done this week is sleep and watch tv.
remote control-you said what my mum thinks too-that its a kind of 'burn out' after college. i may go with open uni as i can do that at home.
may post again when i feel upto writing more. thank you both.

How are you doing now hun? It sounds like you burnout with all that studying. Is it possible to do your course part time instead? That way you don't have so much pressure put on you. As for the depression and eating disorder it is probably worthwhile talking with your doctor about it so you can get some extra support. Hold on there
