Is it rude?

Is it rude if your always the one having to talk to the same person first all the time?
If it is why is it?
If it isn't why isn't it?
What are you suppossed to do about it?

Mmmm...

I don't think it's rude, maybe they don't know how to start the conversation, maybe they think they are bring a bother to you, maybe they are just not in the mood to talk anyways, or maybe they don't pay attention to who's online so don't see you on..

There could be 100 reasons why someone wouldn't start the convo all the time.

Maybe you could ask the person if they are up for talking before you actually start with a deep and meaningful conversation.

I rarely start conversations, not to be rude but because I don't want to bother someone. I do enjoy conversations and talking though! I guess sometimes self confidence plays a role.

If I do start I have a genuine reason like wanting to meet up, offer a nice word (on here) or to sort something out. I very rarely start general conversation.

There will always be a happy ending. If its not happy then its not yet the end.

I'm interested. Why does it bother you?

I guess it can be tiresome when you feel like your doing all the work, and maybe it might seem like rude to you, but it completely depends on both the persons personality and your relationship whether it's rude or not.

I don't think it's rude per say, but I think it's annoying. To me, it makes the friendship feel very one sided and when it comes to the point where I am always the first person to start up a conversation or get in touch with the person, I stop. I expect friendships to be a two person thing and you both have to put the effort it, I don't want to be the only person doing it.

It's not rude. Some people find it hard to start a conversation.

PM me if you want a PDF copy of the ICD-10 or the Mental Health Act 1983/2007. I ALSO HAVE THE DSM-V BOOK and am a pharmacology student.

I have a visual impairment / neurological problems so I need people to type in clear text and no funny fonts. Also excuse any typos, my vision blocks things out.
I have autism and have problems communicating, PMs included.
Just becasue I type well doesn't mean I speak well. I am only part time verbal.

I agree with what you say I think it's also annoying if i'm the only one making the effort. And the relationship should be a two person thing.
