Realisation of your flaws
So, quick background: am living in Holland for a month interning and was in a fantastic place before I left (I'm a week in to the stay now). I have my psychologist assessment 3 days after i get back.
However being here has made me realise some not very nice things about myself. I'm not stupid, and I'm becoming quite analytical about things, having had problems for so long now.
Just wondered if anyone else had ever noticed their "not normal" feelings/behaviours in a detached way and had to deal with that? Or just any support would be nice. Total relocation isn't easy!
Thanks :)

Take too many pictures, laugh too much and love like you've never been hurt because every 60seconds you spend upset is a minute of happiness you'll never get back ...don't be afraid your life will end, be afraid that it will never begin.

Hi :)
I've realised for a while that I have some bad qualities about myself. I can be a bitch, I can be lazy, I can be selfish, but it's only recently (within the past 4 days) that I've realised that we are not ruled by our negative qualities. Sure, everyone has at least one bad quality about themselves, but it's the good qualities that really make us unique and shine. I get 'abnormal' feelings everyday, but I've grown to be accepting of them, because I know that I will never be normal. Don't let the negative qualities rule you. Accept that you have them (because everyone has them), but then focus on the good qualities that really make you individual and unique. And if you feel like you don't have any, ask your friends and family to give you what they think your good qualities are. because everyone has one thing about themselves to be proud of. :)
Hope this helps :)

What I've found through lots of work, is that [our] flaws are so often the shadow side of our positive, healthy qualities, and reflect our longing to be respected, valued and loved. Just, they 'go the wrong way about it', as it were.
Stressful times can tend to bring this side out more, as you're finding.
It's ok, it's what makes us human, and life is a constant work at navigating and managing them.

Thanks guys :) It's nice to hear someone acknowledge their flaws with such nonchalance

Not nonchalance, compassionate understanding and acceptance. It's different.
