I got my tragus done 4 years ago, and it's never been changed xD
Though mine is a bar, so this reply is totally pointless.

I'm in my right place, don't be a downer.
The balls on the actual loop because it moves round. The new one i have the ball just goes in the bottom.
If i cant get it out by Wednesday will go bk to the piercer. Would he be able to put the new one in for me too?

Yeah - that's the one I have. To take it out, you remove the ball and then you can slide it out. But it's super difficult though (for me anyway!) the first time I tried, my dad ended up popping it out because I couldn't.

I would suggest wearing letex gloves and using needle nose pliers to help keep the ring still while you do it. The gloves because it's useually super slippery and the pliers because otherwise the ring moves everywhere and it gets super hard to get the ball out.

Thanks for the replies, i dont have latex gloves or the other. My friend who done my other piercings is gonna come round in the week and help me get it out :)

Gloves! I strug-ug-uggled for a long time to get piercings out, then popped on some latex gloves (like cleaning ones) on and came off instantly. I recommend keeping a box of them around if you're wanting to change this again. They're handy for cleaning, too ;)
It's a captive ball ring. The ball has dents either side & you have to wedge it in place I normally end up stretching the ring so the ball is looser, then squishing it again after.
But yeah - get your friend to do it is the best bet!
The ball doesnt have dents in it moves all the way round the ring. The new one i have does have the dents in tho :)
Its still not out tho lol

Captive ball rings can be very irksome to remove. You can buy sets of pliers especially for the job if you like the style and intend to wear captive balls a lot here.
I don't own those pliers (I'm not a fan of captive ball rings at all because of the difficulty), but if I'm pierced with one, I'll usually wait until it's 300% healed and gently ply it open with regular needlenose pliers... just enough to loosen the ball. I usually end up warping the hoop and making it unusable though haha...
But as it's been said, your best bet is to pop down to your piercing parlour. Most places will change it for you for free. :)
