sudden claustrophobia...?

I've never had this problem before. I've always enjoyed planes, rollercoasters, and didn't mind elevators up until about a month ago. Nothing happened really, I didn't get suck somewhere or anything I was on just on a plane ride for vacation when I realized I was stuck in a plane with no where to leave for 3 hours. I was going to Disney and for those of you who have been you know its all rides and I only went on a hand full because I didn't like when they strap you in.

Has this happened to anyone else? Like a sudden fear of something you use to have no problem with? I sometimes even have a hard time in my apartment.

Hey there, i've never personally experienced this but I'm sure many people have before so you're not alone.

I am a psychology student and although really I have no idea what i'm talking about it may be a suppressed fear which has been triggered to suddenly appear. Sometimes when you're under a lot of stress fears can arise as a way o cope with everything as your mind doesn't really know what to do with itself. Although claustrophobia seems completely unrelated to anything else, it could be due to having no escape currently and fearing situations where you cannot escape (related to your aeroplane fear, this also potentially may be more related to agoraphobia). Have you got anyone around you for support at the moment? Or a professional you can talk to before the fear escalates? A professional will be able to help you undertand why this fear has come about :)
