It's been a long wait, but J.K. Rowling's interactive Harry Potter site Pottermore is finally sending out invites. Just be prepared to wait on the online version of Platform 9 3/4 for a little while first.
After spending several months in beta, Pottermore is now open to registration. To avoid overtaxing the servers, however, the site is activate accounts a handful at a time, so you might have to wait awhile before you can get sorted into your house and step into the immersive environment of Hogwarts. Unfortunately, it seems that, at least at this time, you also can't pick your own user name.

I played Pottermore as beta....Played it for two days then never went there again >_>
I think that's the problem with these sorts of things. How many people continued to go back to it once they'd played it? Probably very few.
I must be totally dense because I still don't understand what Pottermore actually is. So I signed up to see what the palaver is about. The choice of names I got was... poor. They went from the ridiculous to the emo.
Okay, I've actually figured it out. I think.
However, I've been trying to practice potion making for the past fifteen minutes and I can't do it! xD I keep failing because the temperature isn't being regulated.. I DON'T KNOW HOW TO DO THAT. I KEEP PRESSING THE HEAT BUTTONS AND THEY DON'T WANT TO WORK.
